Support the temple’s recovery
Substantial building and conservation works are needed to not only repair damage due to the fire but also to safeguard this spiritually and historically significant temple and its contents into the future. Insurance is only going to cover some of this work.
As a heritage site, building and conservation works at the temple will be conducted in consultation with Heritage Victoria. Work will require the employment of conservation specialists and methods to ensure the best outcomes for the temple.
The National Trust have established a Restoration Appeal which allows people to make a tax-deductible donation to support restoration of the temple. Donations can only be spent on restoration work.
